Ventas Chairman and CEO, Debra A. Cafaro, Honored at the Alzheimer’s
Association’s National Capital Area Chapter “Brain Ball” Fundraiser
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 2015--
Ventas, Inc. (NYSE:VTR) (“Ventas” or the “Company”), a leading

today announces its Ventas Charitable Foundation contributed $100,000 to
the Alzheimer’s Association, at its National Capital Area Chapter’s Brain
Ball fundraiser. This support represents Ventas’s commitment
to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, which affects many
individuals who receive care and live in the Company’s properties.
The 2015 Brain Ball honored Ventas Chairman and CEO, Debra A.
Cafaro, who accepted the honor on behalf of her late mother, Dee Francis
Cafaro, who died from Alzheimer’s nearly one year ago.
“This honor signifies my chance to stand with all of you, and to salute
your mission to fight a cruel disease that robs us of so much we hold
dear,” Ms. Cafaro told the audience, which together raised more than
$1.5 million for the organization.

100,000 seniors nationwide. At Ventas, my colleagues and I are committed
to pursuing excellence on their behalf,” said Ms. Cafaro.
Contributors to the Brain Ball also included some of Ventas’s
valued business partners -- many of the nation’s most esteemed care
providers -- including Atria Senior Living, Kindred Healthcare, Sunrise
Senior Living and Brookdale Senior Living. Ms. Cafaro saluted them for
their mission to provide residents with a safe, secure environment and
excellent care.

audience.
The second annual Brain Ball, held on May 8, 2015, attracted more
than 600 people to the event, which was held at the Andrew W. Mellon
Auditorium in Washington, D. C.
