2013 Dividend Increases Over 10 Percent From 2012
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 2013--
Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) (“Ventas” or the “Company”) said today that its
Board of Directors increased the Company’s fourth quarter 2013 dividend
by eight percent to $0.725 per share. The dividend is payable in cash on
December 31, 2013 to stockholders of record on December 16, 2013.
Including the fourth quarter dividend, the Company’s 2013 per share
dividend of $2.735 represents a 10.3 percent increase over its 2012
dividend. For the past 10 years, the compound annual growth rate in the
Company’s dividend has been 10 percent.

of 11 percent in 2013 normalized FFO per share, excluding non-cash
items, and continued confidence in our business and our team,” Ventas

while maintaining a strong dividend payout ratio and credit profile.”
Previously, Ventas announced guidance for its 2013 normalized funds from
operations (“FFO”) in a range from $4.12 to $4.14 per fully diluted
share. The Company’s guidance is subject to certain qualifications and
